Operator and purpose
This policy explains the use of cookies and related technologies on the R17 website, operated by RBG – SETTER ACADEMY LTDA, CNPJ 59.948.170/0001-45.

Cookies are small records stored in the browser. Other features, such as embedded content and requests to external servers, may also involve browsing information, even without an identified cookie.
Services on the website
The website uses hosting infrastructure and YouTube video content. Some pages load preview images hosted by YouTube before playback. The player loads when the visitor starts the video.
Videos use YouTube addresses and the youtube-nocookie.com domain. The latter does not guarantee that the provider collects no data at all.
On the payment page for the book Levantando a Vida, the Hotmart checkout is embedded in the website. Loading that page connects the browser to Hotmart even without opening a new tab. The platform may use technologies needed for payment, security and fraud prevention, as well as those described in its own controls and notices. There is also an option to open the checkout directly on Hotmart.
After confirmation of a mentorship application, the website opens a WhatsApp link with a generic pre-filled message. Opening it connects to the provider but does not automatically send the message or the form answers. Links to the student area and social media also lead to other environments, subject to the respective providers’ practices.
Article reactions
The first-party cookie r17_article_reader stores a random identifier to remember the browser’s reaction to articles. It is only created after allowing Article reactions in preferences and using the reaction button. Reading an article does not create this cookie.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Activation |
|---|---|---|---|
| r17_article_reader | Remember the browser’s reaction and prevent repeated counts | One year, renewed when a reaction is recorded or removed | After consent to the category and use of the reaction button |
Disabling Article reactions removes the identifier from the browser and blocks new reactions. The count already recorded on the article is not automatically erased; to undo a specific like, use the reaction button before disabling the preference. The identifier is sent only to the website’s own reactions feature. Reaction records contain the article, the random identifier and the date, with no name, email address or IP address recorded in that record. They are not linked to form submissions. Removing cookies or using another browser may prevent the website from recognising a previous reaction.
Browsing and external services
Requests to the hosting infrastructure, image server and video services may involve technical browsing information, such as an IP address and browser characteristics. Processing by providers is also subject to their respective policies.
Joining a communications list does not, by itself, authorise general use of advertising trackers. New technologies or purposes must be accompanied by the applicable information and controls.
GA4 and Meta Pixel — your choice
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Meta Pixel are configured to load only with consent to analytics and advertising, respectively. Installation requires a new choice: preferences from previous versions do not activate these tools.
GA4 measures browsing, campaign sources, product views, form starts and confirmations, and payment clicks. Meta Pixel measures pages, products and confirmed commercial enquiries, except in mentorship applications. Google Tag Manager manages these activations after consent. The link with Google Ads enables attribution and conversion analysis without enabling personalised Google advertising. Cookies and identifiers may allow a browser to be recognised; they should not be presented as necessarily anonymous.
The configuration blocks tools from loading until consent is given to the corresponding category. Google uses basic consent mode, with no measurement pings before analytics consent. The Pixel also remains blocked until advertising consent. Google Signals and Google ad personalisation are not enabled.
| Name and provider | Purpose | Duration in the browser |
|---|---|---|
| _ga and _ga_ZC3WYEZRM6 · Google | Distinguish browsers and retain analytics session information | Up to 180 days in the website’s configuration, with no automatic renewal of that period |
| _fbp · Meta | Identify the browser for advertising measurement | Up to 90 days, which may be renewed by the tool during authorised use |
| _fbc · Meta | Link the visit to a Meta ad click, when present | Up to 90 days, which may be renewed by the tool during authorised use |
The browser may impose shorter periods or block these technologies. The provider also receives technical connection information, such as IP address and browser. Meta may access cookies from its own domain according to browser permissions and its policies. Event retention periods in platform accounts differ from cookie durations; for information or requests about records, use R17’s contact channel. New providers or purposes will not be silently added to this consent.
Cookie preferences
The panel presents Accept all, Reject non-essential and Configure preferences. Optional categories are disabled by default. Accepting and rejecting are given equal prominence.
Necessary: operation, security and recording your choice. Article reactions: an identifier to remember likes, only after consent and use of the feature. Analytics: GA4, only after consent to this category. Advertising: Meta Pixel, only after consent to this category.
You can save choices separately and reopen the panel using the Cookie preferences control in the footer. Continuing to browse, closing the panel without saving or subscribing to the newsletter does not authorise tracking. Rejecting options does not prevent reading or using forms.
The first-party cookie r17_privacy_preferences stores only the chosen categories, the date and the notice version for up to 180 days in this browser and on this domain. It contains no name, email address, phone number or form answers. The choice must be made again when it expires, when the cookie is deleted or when the purposes version changes. It does not follow you across devices or domains.
If the browser does not allow the choice to be saved or an error occurs, the panel reports the problem and keeps optional features blocked. You can try again.
When consent to Article reactions is withdrawn, the website removes the r17_article_reader cookie and blocks new reactions until consent is given again. Disabling analytics or advertising removes the corresponding cookies accessible on this domain and reloads the page if the tool has already loaded, stopping it running. The panel does not erase cookies from other domains or data already received by providers. For those cases, also use the services’ controls and R17’s contact channel.
The panel controls the website’s own features described here, not choices on external services. Hotmart loads on the payment page you request; YouTube loads when you start a video, and some preview images connect to YouTube before playback. WhatsApp opens when you continue the conversation with the team. These providers have their own notices and controls. R17 preferences do not amount to general consent to all of those providers’ purposes.
Updates
This policy was updated on 19 October 2026. Changes to providers, purposes or technologies will be accompanied by a review of this text and the choice mechanisms.
